Pachamanca Lunch and Farm Experience

Pachamanca is a local peruvian dish which translate to “earth pot” in quechua language that has been prepared and enjoyed for centuries by Incas and local Peruvians. Is often considered as celebratory and especial meal.

Pachamanca is prepared by cooking different meats, such beef, chicken, trout, and lamb. Whit oven make from rocks that cooks slowly the ingredients allowing the flavors meld together and the meats get succulent and tender. Is served whit sides of fava beans, sweet potatoes, potatoes, corn and Andean tubers. The lunch includes traditional spicy sauce prepared in the Incas way and purple corn beverage (frutillada o chicha). We can accommodate most of food restrictions if you let us know in advance.

Our pachamanca experience starts at 12pm meeting Papa Augusto who manage our farm he is expert and got all his ancestor knowledge and he will guide us through farm telling us about all secret of farming at high altitude and how is the process to prepare pachamanca. After the tour will sit down for our meal waiting for 1 hour approx. The total duration of our pachamanca experience is about 3 hours.
