Cusco City Tour – Complete Afternoon Cultural Experience

Discover the historical and cultural richness of the former Inca capital on this carefully organized afternoon City Tour, combining impressive Inca architecture, colonial history, archaeological sites, and authentic local life — all guided by a professional bilingual expert.

🕐 1:00 PM – Hotel Pick-Up

Pick-up from your hotel in Cusco’s historic center. Your guide will provide an introduction to the city’s importance as the capital of the Inca Empire, once considered the “Navel of the World.”

🏛 1:15 PM – Visit to Qorikancha (Temple of the Sun)

Our first stop is the most sacred temple of the Inca Empire. Here you will admire the extraordinary precision of Inca stonework, where massive stones fit together perfectly without mortar. After the Spanish conquest, the Convent of Santo Domingo was built over the original temple foundations, creating a fascinating fusion of Inca and colonial architecture.
Visiting time: Approximately 45 minutes
Entrance fee: Between 15 and 25 Peruvian soles (approximate)

🛍 2:15 PM – Visit to Mercado Central de San Pedro

Next, we explore Cusco’s most traditional and vibrant local market. Here you will see exotic fruits from the Amazon, native Andean products such as quinoa and potatoes, fresh juices, medicinal herbs, and local handicrafts. This stop offers a genuine glimpse into everyday life in Cusco.
Visiting time: 30–40 minutes

🚐 3:00 PM – Transfer to the Archaeological Park

From San Pedro Market, we take our tourist transportation to the upper part of the city, where the main Inca archaeological sites are located.

🏔 3:30 PM – Sacsayhuamán

One of the most impressive Inca complexes in Peru, famous for its enormous megalithic stone walls, some weighing over 100 tons. From here, you will also enjoy spectacular panoramic views of Cusco.
Visiting time: 45 minutes

🗿 4:30 PM – Qenqo

A ceremonial site believed to have been used for religious rituals. You will explore carved rock formations and underground chambers that highlight the spiritual significance of this location.
Visiting time: 30 minutes

🏰 5:15 PM – Puka Pukara

Known as the “Red Fortress” due to the reddish tone of its stones at sunset, this site served as a military control point during the Inca period.
Visiting time: 20–30 minutes

🕕 6:00 PM – Return to Cusco

The tour concludes with a return to the city center, near Plaza de Armas or another convenient central location.
